The editorial board of «TECHNOLOGIES & QUALITY» takes a responsible approach to the task of maintaining a scientific reputation, it follows the recommendations of the Committee of Publication Ethics in its activities, taking into account the experience of reputable international journals and publishers.

The Editorial Board does not accept for publication materials whose content is prohibited by the legislation of the Russian Federation. The decision to publish an article is made solely on the basis of a peer review, assessing the scientific significance of the research.

AUTHORS’ RESPONSIBILITIES

Originality and plagiarism

All articles sent to the editorial board are checked by the «ANTI-PLAGIARISM» system. The authors of the article must guarantee that they have written an original work, and the use of material from other authors is noted with an appropriate reference or indicated in the text.

Submission of the same typescript to more than one journal at the same time is unacceptable.

Requirements for the content and results of investigations

The authors of the articles are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented and the results obtained. Submitting knowingly false facts is considered a breach of the code of ethics.

Authorship of articles

All persons who have made a significant contribution to the article shall be listed as co-authors. The author of the paper shall ensure that the final version of the paper and its submission for publication have been approved by all co-authors.

Sources of funding for the work, forms of external funding (grants, subsidies, donations) shall be specified in the article.

Decision on publication

The final decision on accepting a scientific article for publication is made by the Editorial Board of the journal «Technologies & Quality». In case of correction of critical remarks by the author, the reviewer and editorial board may re-examine the paper and, in case of a positive decision, the article can be published in one of the next issues (to avoid periodicity delay).

RESPONSIBILITIES OF REVIEWERS
  • determining whether the material presented in the article is in line with the journal's profile
  • assessment of topicality of the article's content, the significance of the ideas and research findings presented
  • supervising the layout of materials according to the requirements that set by the journal
  • assessment of the completeness and validity of the information and findings
  • characteristics of accuracy of presentation and clarity of description
  • article style control
  • summarising the article; if necessary, describing comments for improvement

Involvement of reviewers in the decision to publish

The review procedure assists the Editor-in-chief in deciding whether to publish. Any work accepted for review is considered to be a confidential document. Works are not to be shown or discussed with others, except those authorised by the Editor.

Reviews must be objective. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable. Reviewers are obliged to express their opinion clearly and to support it with appropriate arguments.

Disclosure and conflict of interest

The reviewer is obliged to refuse to review an article in case of a conflict of interest. Unpublished materials contained in the work submitted for review cannot be used in the reviewer's investigations without the written consent of the author. Confidential information obtained in the process of review, shall not be disclosed or used for personal benefit.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDITORIAL STAFF
  • being respectful of the author and its work
  • conducting all contacts with authors in a welcoming and correct tone of voice
  • not giving preference to authors of a particular race, gender, etc.; this is the validity of the information presented and the scientific importance of the work that plays a role
  • ensuring the recruitment of competent reviewers, replacing them if necessary
  • keeping the editorial secrecy, i.e. non-disclosure of the process and content of the article without the written consent of the author, not letting read the author's material to anyone other than the reviewers of the journal without the permission of the author
